1. Briefly Summarize the conversation between Mr Sivsanker and Sidda before the employment of Sidda in the house.

Answer- Mr Sivsanker carefully made an observation of Sidda. He infact scrutinised Sidda and found him quite tidy. He asked a few things to Sidda like where he worked before. Sidda informe that he had previously worked in a doctor's house. Mr Sivsanker further wanted to know the name of the doctor, but Sidda avoided the question saying that he didn't know the name. When Mr Sivsanker was not convinced by the answer he again asked Sidda another question that why Sidda had been dismissed by his previous employer. Sidda gave the ready reply that his master had left the town.


2. "Sidda, come and play!"– Who said this? What would Sidda do when he heard this call? What kind of games did the speaker play?
Answer- Leela said this. 
When Leela called Sidda Sidda would drop any work he might be doing and run to Leela.

Answer- The moon episode is an interesting incident in R. K. Narayan's short Story 'Leela's Friend'. When Sidda throws the ball into the sky and the ball again comes back Sidda says that the na has touched the moon. He wants to prove it by pointing to get soil of moon sticking to the ball. When Leela's denies to see it, Sidda confirms that it must be seen quickly. Sidda also tells her that the moon can be touched by standing in a coconut tree. Then he points to the moon again. Leela is surprised seeing the same moon at two places. Sidda then says that he has asked the moon to follow him. Leela's becomes so excited about it that she reports to her mother. This is a fine explanation of the imaginative world of a child. 

4. Describe the teaching episode between Leela and Sidda.
Answer - Leela is the little girl in the story 'Leela's Friend'. She has just started learning the alphabets and drawing pictures of a few animals and birds and had mastered two kr three letters. Sidda had entertained Leela but he was illiterate. Leela thought she could do some help to Sidda. Sidda was in a critical condition for Leela's teaching. He could neither draw  a perfect crow nor give his 'B' a proper shape. His wrist would get stiff and inflexible. To get rid of the hard taskmaster he sent her to her mother on the plea of being called for dinner.
