How to publish your book.

Publish your Book---- One step forward  to be writer

The path of being a professional writer from an amateur is hard but not impossible for you. First you have to ascertain to yourself whether you have the potential to write, give enjoyment to your readers. If you have developed the plot in your mind why not step a little forward towards being an Author.

The direct approach to the publisher is still active in India. In West, the agents may have rage. The new writers come up with special charm and eagerness. So the publishing House looks for them. So,if you have ever dreamt of publishing your own book it's the time to start that. The following six steps will help you to get you on your way.

Dropping a query letter is important to let them know about your work. First, write a list of all the possible publishers. Send a query letter to them where you will ask for publication. You have to highlight it's USP.  Send an email.
If interested, that will contact you soon with ' would you please send a synopsis...' type of query.

Making a Synopsis is important. Synopsis is a general outline, not detailed, of the storyline. In other words, it is the body of your work. It is concise and perfect in its size. It is a general idea about the plots and story of your write-up. Give a good name of your book and attach it with your synopsis copy.

Table of Contents should be arranged in a way which suits your story.

Sample Chapters are sometimes demanded by some of the publishers. So, polishing the first chapters is important in order to satisfy the interest of the publisher.

Bio-data has to be prepared where you will highlight your credentials. It gives a good idea about you.

Hard Copy is sometimes the demand of some of the publishers. In that case, you can take a print out of your writing with all the chapters and numbers.

So now, arrange the above details in a perfect way. The name of the book with your name should go on the top of the sheet and it will be followed by the synopsis, table of contents, sample chapters and the bio-data on different sheets.

Now, it is a relief that your manuscript is ready. It has been sent too. As soon as it gets approved, they will ask you to submit the following---
  1) Foreword/Preface/ Introduction
  2) Acknowledgement-- write their names who helped you. give them Thanks.
  3) Dedication--  name who was your inspiration.
The last thing you have to do is sign a contract.

Now, you are a published book writer/author.  But, remember for being a good Author, your write-up must be of better quality which not only satisfied the readers but also increases their appetite.
